message: Over a week ago we adopted, Diego, a 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd male as a friend for our female German Shepherd. We found him by searching petfinder.com. We liked the website because of its ease of use, pictures, and descriptions about each dog. It was extremely important that we adopted a "kid-safe" dog because of our 2 year old daughter.

Diego has been so much more than we ever expected we could ever find with a "rescued" German Shepherd. He is actually better at tolerating our young daughter than our own German Shepherd that we bought from a breeder as a puppy 2 years ago. He loves people and is such a people pleaser. He gets along well with our horses as well.

The rescue that we went through has been very helpful and they really care about their dogs and have continued to stay in contact with us about questions that arise between the two dogs. They actually transported him without us even seeing him, but knew what we were looking for and knew he would be a perfect match for our family and farm. We can't believe what an awesome addition he is to our family! petfinder.com made our search so much easier. Thank you!
